The ring beads remains some of the Karen Village’s proudest achievements. They are made by a Karen woman who learned silverwork only by watching her husband. She starts by making nuggets of round silver beads which are then printed, pounded flat, and filed into shape.
Shiana Fine Silver is pure, (.999) silver produced under fair trade regulations by a group of Karen Hill Tribe villagers in Northern Thailand. Our products are carefully handcrafted in small batches. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
